The common characteristics among the sample unit will be their exposure to the gendered or gender-neutral toys during their childhood. Similarly, their current majors in the university and their current jobs will be among the factors considered in the purposive sampling. The selected individuals will be taken through the aims and objectives of the research. Additionally, they will provided with adequate information regarding their rights of privacy and the possibility of publication of the research.

The stimuli for this research will be the exposure to the gendered or gender-neutral toys in their childhood. To accurately construct the stimuli, the sample member will be given a questionnaire with several systematic trigger questions. For instance, the respondent will be required to respond to a series of questions relating to effects of the gendered or gender-neutral toys based on their own life. The levels of the dependent variables range from high, moderate, to low. The high dependent variables will include individual whose current careers or majors correspond to the expected outcome of the effects of the gendered or gender-neutral toys. The low dependent variables will consist of individuals whose current careers or majors are slightly different from the expected outcome as a result of the influence of culture on the choice of gendered or gender-neutral toys.

The experiment will be carried out through distribution of close-ended questionnaires to the sample members. Also, observations will be made and recorded. The stimuli will be presented through a series of questions in the close-ended questionnaires.

Results

The data being collected is analyzed by inspecting the respondent’s answers and using it to make concrete conclusions. For accuracy purposes, the irrelevant data will be excluded from the data being analyzed. In the analysis, all questionnaires with incomplete answers or with unreasonable answers will be omitted from the analysis.
